Nissan Forklifts by Unicarriers Dealer Down Under

Lencrow Materials Handling is the newly appointed, without a shadow of doubt, Australian distributor for Unicarriers products across Australia. As part of the revised dealership agreement there is a lot more on the table that can now be offered to customers who are buying new, requiring service and spare parts and for those looking to find a reputable product with long term support.

There has been uncertainty regarding which Australian supplier would be representing the Japanese manufacturer since mid-2014. The delay in moving forward has been due to a series of disruptive changes within the industry causing Unicarriers to pause and reconsider their position. Forklift owners in Australia with Nissan, Atlet, TCM and Unicarriers branded products may have experienced difficulty in receiving spare parts support this year. Lencrow Materials Handling has an established support network Australia wide and continue to develop the dealers across the country to bridge the gaps under the new arrangement.

What does the new dealer arrangement include?

  • Access to dealer support nationwide. Lencrow Materials Handling will be releasing this information in early December.
  • Access to a full range of genuine spare parts.
  • The complete range of premium Unicarriers products. Including the smaller LPG/Petrol 1800kg forklift right up to 43,000kg high capacity forklift trucks manufactured by Unicarriers.
  • Dealers support and sales to all of the quality brands available through Lencrow Materials Handling including EP Equipment (Electric pedestrian equipment) and Bomaq Industries (Premium one-of-a-kind all terrain forklifts).
  • Ross Grassick, Managing Director LMH, says “Now that a final decision has been made we look forward to building the Unicarrier’s brand in Australia because we know that the quality and functionality they offer the materials handling industry in Australia will be well received. We own a great deal of these products in our own hire fleet and can back them with certainty and now represent the brand within Australia. The exciting news for forklift owners in Australia we will provide long term support and reliability in long term solutions for an evolution of Unicarriers products including Datsun (pre-Nissan), Nissan, TCM, Atlet and the new and improved umbrella products manufactured by Unicarriers”

Lencrow Materials Handling is proudly Australian owned since 1976. Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the family business operation and customers can be assured that the holistic services and support will continue to develop as long there is a need in the market for excellence in materials handling services. As an independent supplier Lencrow has represented various leading brands over time. However, with a fleet comprising of over 3,500 units nationwide, mostly being Nissan branded forklifts, Unicarriers is the genuine dealer choice to offer Australian businesses having been a representative for over 25 years.

This also improves the overall manoeuvrability when operating the forklift, as well as traction for increased stability.

  • Advanced safety with increased traction
  • Increase the level of safety in your warehouse by choosing a forklift that has an anti-rollback mechanism. Electric failures can be difficult to identify fault origins and having this information at hand can be useful to reduce expensive repairs.

Other benefits of owning an electric forklift:

  • Environmentally friendly with zero fuel emissions
  • Lower running costs over the total lifetime of ownership
  • Safer working and operating conditions for employees with the absence of fuel emissions
  • Electric Forklifts are suited to the following industries:

  • Forklifts in food production

  • The total cost of ownership of the lifetime of using and owning an electric forklift works out to be less with the no ongoing fuel costs.
  • You actually have more flexibility in applications than purchasing a reach truck and IC forklift truck because they 3 wheels can be used indoors and outdoors. Reach trucks require a smooth surface and outdoor usage is sometimes limited. IC forklift trucks aren’t suited to long indoor operation due to the toxic emissions from burning fuel. You can generally do more applications with a 3 wheel electric forklift.

    Who is UniCarriers?

UniCarriers (formerly Nissan Forklift) might appear to be a new brand name emerging in the forklift market however; the product actually dates back to the very first forklift manufactured in Japan during the 1940’s. UniCarriers is comprised of the two heavy weight Japanese forklift manufacturers – Nissan Forklift and TCM. The company united to strengthen Japan’s forklift brand utilising the experiences and strengths of both manufacturers.

UniCarriers is available through Lencrow Materials Handling who offer sales, services and support for the entire range of products. UniCarriers offer a comprehensive range of internal combustion forklifts with capacities starting from 1000kg right up to 43,000kg models (1t – 43t). Premium models feature electronic engine management system technology. The electronic technology monitors and manages the forklift’s fuel economy as well its speed controls, automated tilt levelling and includes a built-in weight scale. UniCarriers are at the cutting edge of design and technology consistently delivering quality products applying years of experience and research in forklift manufacturing.

Nissan Forklift acquired Atlet, a warehouse equipment manufacturing company based in Sweden, in 2007. Atlet is known for their range of electric powered warehouse products with ergonomic solutions. The business merger marked the production of superior reach trucks and specialised warehousing equipment that features leading design and technology using superior components. UniCarriers in addition to this range manufacture 3 and 4 wheel forklifts covering the needs of modern warehouses and handling applications.

UniCarriers is synonymous with Nissan Forklift and TCM – two forklift brands that the Australian market has known and used for years. Unicarriers products include full parts and labour warranties backed with factory support on all its products.

Lencrow Materials Handling has been involved in the Australian forklift industry for nearly 4 solid decades. The company was established in 1976 and supplies the largest independent range of materials handling equipment in Australia. The family owned operation has expanded its services over 3 generations and offers a holistic range of solution based services nationwide.

    Lencrow’s own hire fleet consists of over 2,500 units nationwide and the company’s principle motto is;

“We do not sell products that we would not use in our own hire fleet, we know the costs associated with maintaining forklifts, and supplying quality and supported products to Australian business is most important to us”

Spare parts supply, distribution, availability and support are often overlooked when materials handling products are purchased in Australia. Every product bought and used in the country will require servicing and repairs during ownership. UniCarriers is guaranteed to remain supported in Australia backed with Lencrow Materials Handling’s 100% after sales services and support. Supported products like this that offer genuine factory backed parts at reduced prices allow owners to maintain optimum engine performance for the life of their equipment.

UniCarriers range offer true value for money encompassing economy through to luxury – a model up or down to suit the varied handling applications across a range of industries. Australia can expect the same level of quality, attention to detail with that familiar flare across the board.

UniCarriers – it may look new – the driving experience and performance you remember remains the same.

Lencrow buys Nissan Forklift from Powerlift

Independent forklift provider, Lencrow, has bought Powerlift’s Nissan Forklift dealerships.

Lencrow MD Ross Grassick tells Forkliftaction.com News the deal becomes effective next month when the company takes over Powerlift’s Nissan Forklift retail operations in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Adelaide. In a separate deal, Powerlift has sold its Nissan Forklift operation in Western Australia to Allied Forklifts. Powerlift CEO Nino Pala tells Forkliftaction.com News Powerlift Material Handling will revert back to wholesaler on behalf of Unicarrier in Australia and NZ distributing the full range of Unicarrier products including the Nissan Forklift range.

Pala says the decision to establish an independent dealer network provides greater coverage for Powerlift customers as the majority of its technical staff have transferred to Allied Forklifts and Lencrow who have now taken over Powerlift’s Nissan Forklift retail network in Australia – “with Lencrow acquiring the Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane retail branches and Allied taking over the Perth retail branch.”

“I am pleased that Powerlift is dealing with strong well regarded and long standing companies within the forklift market to represent them,” he says. Grassick says part of the deal will see Lencrow take over maintenance of Powerlift’s long-term hire fleet and buy a percentage of the fleet. “In effect, we’ve added around 2300 units to our business and more than 100 staff as we’ve taken on the staff at the dealerships.”

“It’s a new chapter for Lencrow. We’ve wanted to get involved in the OEM side of the market for some time, and now we’re able to offer customers a better range of machines, with full factory backing and better service,” Grassick says.
