Guideline of Installing, Uninstalling, Storage And Safety Measures For LPG Forklift Cylinder

  • If you observe any smell of gas or bubbling effects, turn Off the valve immediately and recheck the connection and O-ring.

Uninstalling Process of Forklift LPG Cylinder

  • Ensure to wear your PPE. LPG cylinder removal process is a bit tricky one so it’s essential to wear the eye protection, long sleeves clothes and long rubberised gloves.
  • Ensure there is no ignition or smoking source in the area.
  • Turn off the valve of the empty LPG cylinder.
  • Be cautious while disconnecting the gas line of the forklift. Be aware of a little quantity of LPG might release from the gas line when disconnecting it from the forklift.
  • Free the brackets holding the gas cylinder sturdy on its position.
  • Remove the LPG bottle off the forklift.
  • Take the LPG cylinder aside and store it in a designated safe storage area.

How To Store LPG Cylinders Safely?

General safety tips to know while storing LPG cylinders in the storage are:

  • Store only stipulated a number of cylinders specified on the cylinder storage.
  • Ensure all valves of unused cylinders are totally turned off, despite the fact that they are empty.
  • Always store the cylinders vertically when storing or transporting, so that you can avoid an uncertain situation from happening.

  • Avoid the contact of metal tools when working with LPG cylinders.
  • Ensure the installing process of LPG cylinder in forklift is accurately performed. If carelessly installed, it might end up providing serious hazards.
